Niche Marketing – How To Understand Amazon Ratings So You Can Build a Profitable Niche Site

This factor in niche marketing especially on Amazon is probably the main factor that determines whether you’ll make a sale or not. As with any product or service, if it’s a bad review (even though this is subjective), it will affect the buyers decision making process.
On Amazon, it allows the customer to post reviews of products they have purchased and that alone can either further promote the product or completely destroy it.

It would seem obvious that as a niche marketer you would want to promote a product that has a very good rating but not just any rating will do. The rating must be very high, consistent and by many buyers.
The way Amazon rates products is by letting the user give a review and then for them to select a star rating. 1 star being the lowest and 5 being the highest. The number of reviews is also important to inspire confidence for other buyers.
10 reviews can be divided by the different star ratings, and this wouldn’t make it a desirable product to promote. As mentioned before, the product must give confidence to a prospective buyer.
The number of top reviews or with the highest rating must be more than the lower reviews combined to actually give some sort of indication that it’s a good product.
In most cases, the majority of reviews are correct and the odd few low reviews are exceptions. As long as there are more good reviews than bad ones then buyers will usually overlook this and still make a purchase.

Square Enix announces Bust-A-Move Universe for 3DS, first trailer inside

Ultra Bust-A-Move! Bust-A-Move Live! Bust-A-Move Revolution! It's too bad the title “Bust-A-Move 3000” already got used for the GameCube iteration of Taito's long-running Bubble Bobble spinoff: surely we've gone through close to 2,999 previous entries in the series. But hey, one's as good as another (usually), so if Taito parent Square Enix wants to put out a 3DS edition, we've got no complaints.
If we tell you that the new game, Bust-A-Move Universe, will feature loveable dinosaurs matching up three or more bubbles in a variety of game modes including Puzzle, Challenge and Nonstop, we'll trust you not to freak the eff out at such unexpected news. So if we add that, this being a 3DS title, there'll be some not-at-all-token three-dimensional goings-on (probably in the area of background-prettification,  there being no need to reinvent Bust-A-Move in full 3D just yet), we're assuming you'll be able to call the hospital and arrange your own heart-attack recovery plan.

Come on. It's Bust-A-Move! You know exactly what you're getting: it'll be plenty of fun and the box won't be the worst ever, because they've already done that.

Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke sneaks into Dragon Age 2

Clearly there's more than a little mutual appreciation going on between Dead Space 2 developers Visceral Games and the Dragon Age 2 crew at Bioware. Players of the latter, EA promises, will hear bards' tales recounting the exploits of demon-slaying knight Ser Isaac of Clarke. However, if that's not a cheeky enough in-joke for you, Ser Isaac's distinctly familiar-looking armor will be available to players themselves.

Dragon Age 2 players whose taste for fantasy-horror transcends any one game might well pick up Dead Space 2 as well, what with the two sequels both due for impending release. Rather than divide audiences between “dark fantasy with sword-dismemberment” and “dark sci-fi with plasma-dismemberment,” publisher EA will reward players for spreading their efforts between the two titles. Players who pick up Dead Space 2 will receive a one-time activation code to unlock Ser Isaac's armor within Dragon Age 2 as well.

We've got our doubts as to whether it'll go so far as to display your character's health within the faithfully-recreated back-panel – Dragon Age has its own HUD, after all – but hey, you offer a cool thing for free, we set to work finding its shortcomings. Welcome to the Internet!

Did u hear first time ?? i know what u think when some one asked you about App kill switch. This option is in windows phone 7.Todd Biggs, speaks from Windows Phone Marketplace justified:
"We don’t really talk about it publicly because the focus is on testing of apps to make sure they’re okay, but in the rare event that we need to, we have the tools to take action. Market Place is a complex operation and we need to have the capability for dealing with different situations."

Samsung Flexible OLED display Hands-on

If there is one commonality that all high-end smartphones embody, it has to be none other than the fact that they're all simple pieces of slabs at their core -- and nothing more than that! However, every now and then, we are greeted with a kind of device that manages to stray from the tried and true design of today's contemporary smartphones. Even before the first official day of CES kicked off, we were able to check out Samsung's booth during Pepcom's event and witnessed something truly imaginary that makes you wonder about the endless possibilities that can grace future smartphone designs.

New Technology in city debut--=- Private 3G

Reliance Communications on Monday became the first private telecom operator to launch 3G services in the city. The bouquet includes high speed Internet and mobile television but not video call and the tariff is still unclear.
BSNL was the first to bring 3G, including video calls, to Calcutta in February 2009 but has failed to find more than 20,000 takers in the city despite its 2,127,554 strong subscriber base.
Apart from BSNL and Reliance, Vodafone and Aircel have licences to offer 3G services in Calcutta but are yet to do so. Vivek K. Garg, the regional head (east) of Reliance Communication’s wireless business, said 30 to 40 per cent of the company’s subscribers had 3G-enabled phones and many of them would avail themselves of the new services. 3G or International Mobile Telecommunications 2000 (IMT 2000) is a generation of standards for mobile phones and mobile telecommunications services fulfilling specifications of the International Telecommunication Union.

3G subscribers can watch movies and television on the move, browse Internet at broadband speeds and make video calls (similar to webcam chat on laptops). Industry insiders said BSNL’s 3G services were “all right” within cities but not good in smaller centres. Private players like Reliance Communications, headed by Anil Ambani, and Tata DOCOMO are expected to come up with better services. “BSNL’s 3G services have improved. If you have a highend handset, it works quite well. However, the quality of service deteriorates if a subscriber moves even within the city,” said an expert.

Reliance Communications subscribers with GSM connections and 3G-enabled handsets will be able to access the new services without changing their SIM cards.“CDMA customers (of the company) will not only have to change their handsets and SIM cards, but also, under the present regulations, their mobile numbers, to access 3G services,” said Garg. Earlier, while launching 3G services in Mumbai, Delhi and Chandigarh along with Calcutta, Syed Safawi, the CEO of Reliance Communications, said: “We rolled out 3G services within 100 days of receiving 3G spectrum in the major metros of India. The services would be extended across all 13 telecom circles where we hold 3G licences by the end of 201011 fiscal.” The circles include towns in Bengal like Siliguri, Asansol and Burdwan.

Flip UltraHD Camcorder

21st Century, it was not uncommon for someone to spend over $600 on a mid range consumer grade camcorder. This camcorder probably used Mini DV tapes, recorded in standard definition and, although compact and portable, would have likely been carried in a protective camera bag. The purchaser of this camera might use it to film their son or daughter’s high school graduation, a sporting event, or a family vacation. After filming, they would need to find a separate cable to connect to their camcorder to their computer, and then wait as the camcorder runs through the entire tape in order to transfer the video to their computer for editing and sharing online.

These days, however, you can buy a camcorder that is easier to use, has 8 gigs of built-in memory instead of using tapes, and records in High Definition. The camcorder is also small enough to carry around in your pocket, has a built in USB connection, and costs under $200. The Flip UltraHD Camcorder is a lightweight device that is easy to use and affordable. It features an integrated 2-inch LCD screen for previewing and managing your captured video. It also includes an HDMI port so you can connect the Flip directly to your HDTV.

If you want to upload a video to YouTube or Facebook, the Flip UltraHD has built-in software that allows you to easily upload videos from the camcorder’s memory. This camcorder makes that task easier than before. Image and video transfers to a computer are done through a USB connector that flips out from the side of the device. If you have ever felt the frustration of a lost cable, you will know how helpful and convenient this is. The UltraHD uses a lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable through your computer’s USB port.
Although the Flip UltraHD Camcorder only has 2X zoom, no manual focusing, a limited amount of on-board memory, and limited features and settings, it is clearly not meant as a replacement for professional or even “prosumer” grade camcorders. The Flip UltraHD is an excellent choice for those looking for a simple and fun way to capture memories with friends. Because it is so portable, it is easy to take with you wherever you want to go. Many Flip camcorder owners keep theirs in their bag, purse, or car so that, when something interesting happens unexpectedly, they are able to record things as they unfold.

Americans spent over $15 billion on video games in 2010

A preliminary estimate released by NPD, total consumer spending on all video game content in the US was between $15.4 and $15.6 billion during 2010. That figure includes physical console and PC games, digital downloads, used games, rentals, subscriptions, social network games, DLC, and mobile game apps. Assuming the initial data is correct, the research firm believes overall sales have fallen by about 1% from 2009.

Although retail games accounted for the majority of spending with $10.1 billion in revenue, sales dropped 5% from $10.6 billion in 2009. PC game sales increased by 3%, and that's no surprise with blockbusters like StarCraft II and WoW: Cataclysm breaking records last year. That, combined with increased spending on downloads, mobile games and other segments offset the declines in physical sales, rentals and subscriptions.

"The increasing number of ways to acquire the content has allowed the industry to maintain total consumer spend on content as compared to 2009, and we should expect 2011 to be a growth year in the games industry as the consumer demand for gaming continues to evolve," NPD said. The outfit expects to release a final estimate of consumer spending in March's "Games Industry: Total Consumer Spend (2010)" report.

Fcebook Will Be Closed By March 15

PALO ALTO, CA –Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be shut down in March. Managing the site has become too stressful.
“Facebook has gotten out of control,” said Zuckerberg in a press conference outside his Palo Alto office, “and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.”
Zuckerberg went on to explain that starting March 15th, users will no longer be able to access their Facebook accounts.
“After March 15th the whole website shuts down,” said Avrat Humarthi, Vice President of Technical Affairs at Facebook. “So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them off the internet. You won’t be able to get them back once Facebook goes out of business.”
Zuckerberg said that the decision to shut down Facebook was difficult, but that he does not think people will be upset.
“I personally don’t think it’s a big deal,” he said in a private phone interview. “And to be honest, I think it’s for the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.”
Some Facebook users were furious upon hearing the shocking news.
“What am I going to do without Facebook?” said Denise Bradshaw, a high school student from Indiana. “My life revolves around it. I’m on Facebook at least 10 hours a day. Now what am I going to do with all that free time?”
However, parents across the country have been experiencing a long anticipated sense of relief.
“I’m glad the Facebook nightmare is over,” said Jon Guttari, a single parent from Detroit. “Now my teenager’s face won’t be glued to a computer screen all day. Maybe I can even have a conversation with her.”
Those in the financial circuit are criticizing Zuckerberg for walking away from a multibillion dollar franchise. Facebook is currently ranked as one of the wealthiest businesses in the world, with economists estimating its value at around 7.9 billion.
But Zuckerberg remains unruffled by these accusations. He says he will stand by his decision to give Facebook the axe.
“I don’t care about the money,” said Zuckerberg. “I just want my old life back.”
The Facebook Corporation suggests that users remove all of their personal information from the website before March 15th. After that date, all photos, notes, links, and videos will be permanently erased.
