Did we already told you about the possibility of Verizon Samsung Galaxy S II? If you don’t remember, previously we told you about the most successful Galaxy unit or merely the best of it class might be on its way to Big Red’s backyard. And if we’ll believe Paul Mueller in three weeks time that’s August 12th to be exact Verizon might be launching the LTE-inclined Samsung Galaxy S II under the codename Samsung Function and might also be Attain and Within when it was dropped on other networks. And as we speak, another rumored version of Samsung Galaxy S II codename “Celox” have just appeared in South Korea where it features specs and images.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S II will sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 processor while running Android Gingerbread, sports a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, and boasts 16GB of internal memory, with a microSD slot offering an extra 32GB. It’s battery life is considerably improved since this S II now fitted with 1750mAh battery compared to the smaller Galaxy S II’s 1650mAH pack. Completing a perfect multimedia package it has 8MP rear-facing camera, along with a 2MP sensor up front.
This Android handset also features 800MHz LTE support which is blistering up to 50Mbps upstream and 100Mbps downstream. Unfortunately, this is too fast for Verizon and AT&T which only support 700MHz LTE –you can immediately makes assumptions that this model wasn’t aimed for US, but instead might be a European version where network LTE supports 800MHz.
