New iPhone 5 Rumors and Updates

There is only a few days until the press conference on Tues Oct, 4th, but rumors are still flying around.
Some new rumors are that the iPhone 5 will operate at 4G speeds as well as voice recognition.

The iPhone 5 will HSPA+ 21, which is kind of like 4G lite. It's faster than 3G (21Mbps vs. 7.2Mbps) but it's not as fast as LTE. The voice recognition will allow for users to speak to text recognition which will be great to solve the texting-driving situation.

Stay tuned for new updates about the iPhone 5.

iCloud Update: Launch Date - October 10th

Apple has already announced their press conference about the iOS 5 and the long awaited iPhone 5, but another buzz has been about the new iCloud which will also be discussed on October 4th. The iCloud is scheduled (rumor, but confirmation on Tuesday) for October 10th.
Here are some updated details:
- Apple is trying to become the worldwide leader in cloud music rights. They are seeking international music licenses for the iCloud service to allow people to upload all their music; whether it was downloaded via iTunes or ripped to allow anyone to access if for a $24.95 a year fee called "iTunes Match"
This could be huge for people who love music and don't always want to pay for it.
Of course there is opposition because now Apple is saying it is OK to upload music that could be illegal but you paid us so its fine with us to share with anyone.

- iCloud and iTunes Match will analyze your songs and compare them against the 18 million songs in the iTunes Store and make them available at 256 kbps.
This is a pretty neat idea so lets wait to see what Apple has to say about it on Tuesday. Stay tune.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Tablet

Samsung is showing that is can play with the big boys. It will release the Galaxy Tab 8.9, a brand new view on tablets on Oct. 2nd. It also has released a very media centric device called the Galaxy Player 5.0 and 4.0.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is pretty neat, running on the new Android Honeycomb OS, decent sized 8.9-inch LCD touchscreen and reasonably priced at $460 for the 16GB and $569 for the 32GB version. Its brother, the Tab 10.1 was alittle too large to hold with one hand so this one will be perfect.

Windows 8 vs. OS X 10.6.6 Royal Rumble

You always hear the fight about which Operating System is better. The Mac people will swear by the iOS due to its simplistic design while being supposedly virus proof. While there are others who would take a bullet for Microsoft. iOS has its iPad 2 tablet that by far can out preform any other tablet on the market right now. But there is a sleeper fighter, still put its time in the gym to get bigger and stronger... Windows 8 has previewed as a demo. It is still early in its development stages but it has been promised that it should be in the beta stage in the Spring of 2012 and release in Fall 2012. So it has plenty of time to work out those kinks.

But in the mean time, there is an interesting video that tests both the Windows 8 vs. the Mac OS X 10.6.6
Both were installed on Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 with 1GB RAM and 1GHz processor, against OSX 10.6.6 installed on a MacBook Pro with a 2.4GHz dual-core processor and 2GB RAM. The thing to keep in mind is that Windows 8 is running on essentially half the machine hardware wise than OSX 10.6.6. By specs alone, OS X should beat out Windows 8 simply by the machine it's installed on.

You be the judge.

iCloud Backup Data Resets Tomorrow 9/22/11

For all you iCloud users... back your stuff up before 9AM tomorrow (9/22/11) because the service will be unavailable at that time. This is a dead giveaway from Apple that the iOS 5 will be coming very very soon.

On Thursday, September 22, the iCloud Backup data will be reset. Backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup will be unavailable from 9 AM PDT – 5 PM PDT. If you attempt a backup or restore during this time, you will receive an alert that the backup or restore was not successful. After this reset, you will be unable to restore from any backup created prior to September 22. A full backup will happen automatically the next time your device backs up to iCloud.
On October 5th, (see here for details:  Click Here) there will be a media release on the details of the iPhone 5 & 4S as well as the iCloud that will be update.
Stay tuned for more details

iPhone 5: AT&T - Check, Verizon - Check, Sprint - Check, T-mobile - ???

It looks like all the major mobile carriers will be receiving the iPhone 5 shortly, all but one. T-Mobile will not be getting Apple in their line up... well not this year at least.
“We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year,” T-Mobile’s chief marketing officer Cole Brodman said in a town hall meeting on Monday.
Obviously the iPhone could be released next year for T-Mobile. But then others say that Apple is holding off due to AT&T take over (if the paperwork ever files..). Obviously T-Mobile doesn't want to dwell on not getting the next best thing since the VCR by statting they are focusing on their 4G phone lineup.
Keep tune for more news.

Sneak Peak of the iPhone 5 features!

There are many rumors going around, and with less than two weeks from when the iPhone 5 press conference will be held, here are some of the dirtiest features the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S could have.

Leaked Parts
A numerous number of leaked images of the partly disassembled guts of an updated iPhone have surfaced online.A few that stand out is the new A5 ARM CPU along with a different battery that was different from the iPhone 4. People swear its the new iPhone, but whether or not it is, only time will tell.

iPhone 4S
The iPhone 4S, a iPhone 4 on steroids, have been floating around the internet. It is believe to quickly be an alternative of the iPhone 5 at a price of $199.99 (because we all know us consumers are willing to pay that) and a $249.99 or $299.99 price range for the iPhone 5. Another way for Apple to such in a huge fan pool that just seems to keep on growing. JP Morgan confirmed the release of two new phone products upon release.
The iPhone 4S will probably have an upgraded antenna and world-phone capabilities. Due to the cheaper price, it might be used to target the pre-pay group while still being widely available.

Cases
The iPhone 5 case designs have leaked into the wild, having a fatter but thinner front to back chassis with a tapered profile and rumor, a 4 inch screen.

Of course, only time will tell for all of these leaks. But as the release quickly approaches, they look even more promising. Keep here for further updates.
